Practical support for veterinarians. No strings attached. Just good people helping good people. Fuel a Vet helps power the people who keep our animals healthy via community crowdfunding, sponsorships, donations, and in-kind services.
“Alberta veterinary job vacancy rates are among the highest in the province. 16.7% vacancy rate for veterinarians compared to a provincial average of approximately 2.6–3%”
Vet Check is a casual community series created primarily for Alberta large animal and mixed practice veterinarians. The series creates approachable, low-pressure spaces where DVMs can slow down, connect with peers, and access supportive conversations outside of formal clinical settings. Sessions are intentionally relaxed and community-focused rather than clinical or appointment-based. The goal is to help bridge the gap between formal services and barrier-free access to supportive information while reducing professional isolation and burnout within Alberta veterinary medicine.
