With more than 15 years of experience as a professional in the horse industry, TKS Dressage and Grooming’s Taryn has a passion for dressage and for making horses look their best. Taryn has been riding for 26 years and in that time has ridden with some of Alberta and Canada’s top trainers. She was a working student in Ontario and Florida before coming back to Edmonton to share what she had learned with riders here.

Dressage is for every horse and every rider, regardless of their discipline and Taryn is invested in improving the quality of riding in the Edmonton area. Taryn has experience grooming for Olympic competitors and holds herself to the same standard for them, as she does for local riders. With a focus on fusing classical and modern dressage, Taryn’s philosophy is that everyone, including horses, learn best when we are relaxed. Teaching horses to relax and building training from that relaxed state is key to successful and long term partnerships with horses.

Lessons available at your facility or haul in to one of several available indoor, heated arenas for lessons on your horse. Or send your horse for training, a tune up, or for sale. Due to central location, all corners of the city are available to travel to!

Clipping, grooming, and braiding services available year round. Winter clipping including a consultation on what will work best for your horse’s activity level. Special pricing for minis/ponies. With experience doing a horse’s first ever clip or for the difficult to clip horse, positive experiences are key to Taryn’s work. Patience and a sense of humor are most important!
