The Yeg Equestrian is run by me- Sarah Mavro! A horsewoman turned photographer, I grew up riding my entire life. Marrying photography and horses together seemed like a natural progression for me! Though I’m currently taking a backseat from riding while raising my two young boys, I still manage to steal a ride every now and then.
Often a wedding and portrait photographer (www.sarahmavro.com) I decided to branch out and create The Yeg Equestrian to specialize my offerings in Equine Photography. From classic portrait sessions with your horse, to branding sessions for professionals, and equine fine art shots, I wanted to offer more and fill a void within the industry.
The Yeg Equestrian is more than just a showcase of my photography. I want to create a central hub for horsepeople in the Edmonton area to be able to find resources and information. This is why I created my Local Listings directory. There is also blog posts from local professionals and enthusiasts. Our recently launched Events Calendar has been a hit! This is long overdue technology upgrade for the equine industry in Alberta.
